Casa San Miguel is a grand and gracious Mexican home that resonates warmth, style and elegance. Featured in Architectural Digest and Casas & Gente, it is a reconstruction of a 300 year old home. With its original three-foot thick adobe walls, it combines the style and charm of the colonial period with all the modern comforts and conveniences, including a heated pool, mini-kitchens and private patios for all bedrooms.

Guests enjoy a music system throughout the house, with volume controls in each room, ten fireplaces, a rooftop garden with a 360-degree view of the city, an electronic grand piano, and high-speed internet access. There is beautiful landscaping, unique architectural design elements, and a series of enchanting terraces with flowing fountains. Comfortable antique and wicker furnishings combine with a collection of decorative art from many cultures to create the perfect atmosphere for enjoying your getaway in San Miguel de Allende to its fullest.

All bedrooms have en-suite baths. Five have king sized beds one of which may be split into two twins. The sixth suite has a queen sized bed and wonderful terrace with views.

Fully staffed with two maids, two cooks, gardener and full-time houseman who speaks English. Tips paid in advance and pool heat at renters expense.

CASA HEYNE is a colonial hacienda style home built in 2000 of adobe in Centro. Local workmen, woodworkers, stonemasons, iron workers and decorative painters handcrafted this 18,000 square foot plus home. Set on a hillside on the edge of the Historical district on a rock wall amid bougainvilleas and extensive gardens, it is only a 12-minute walk to the Jardin.
There are eight different patios and a central courtyard filled with palms and citrus trees beside the fishpond, waterfall, and heated dipping pool. The dipping pool is hidden from view by layers of boulders and landscaping. There are eight different stairways leading to different gardens and patios, with hammocks and seating for sunbathing, reading or for sitting and enjoying the view. Birdcages resembling the different churches are filled with parakeets and canaries.
In this essentially two-story home, there are eleven fireplaces, a central sound system, four fountains, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas that seat twelve. This home has an elevator which serves all levels including the roof terrace with amazing views of San Miguel de Allende! The water purification plant treats all of the water coming into the house. There is a 50 foot long beamed ceiling great room with pool table and wet bar, as well as numerous outdoor seating areas, two with wood-burning fireplaces (the use of firewood is at the renter's expense).
Casa Heyne has been featured in two books on Mexico homes: Traditional Mexican Style Interiors and Traditional Mexican Style Exteriors – A Schiffer Design Book by McMenamin and Loper.
The house has a staff of 6 to take care of all your needs. The cook has time to prepare two meals a day during the week and one meal on Saturday. The staff will clean take of laundry the gardens and the dipping pool. Raul, is the house manager, is bilingual, and is there to assist with every need. He'll make arrangements for excursions, plan your parties, etc.!
This house is truly one of a kind.
